Imprisonment of The Speaker follows the story of a twenty-year-old criminal, who tries to investigate the causes and motives for choosing a path that has led to a sad ending. The movie narrates the life of the young man, his friendships, relationships and attitude toward the society which has directed him in the direction that had led to his imprisonment in a juvenile institution.
Mehran Afshar Naderi is a freelance documentary photographer and filmmaker based in Tehran and a student of World Press Photo Documentary Training. His focus has been on social studies and traditions.
The premiere was followed by a Q&A with the director, Mehran Afshar Naderi.
