TVDinner Tehran

TVDinner was an iteration of OtherIS video series focused on the US-sanctioned countries — Belarus, Cote d’Ivoire, Congo, Cuba, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, North Korea, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Myanmar/Burma, and Zimbabwe. TVDinner launched on July 30, 2011 with a screening at Immigrant Movement International in New York City. A screening of videos related to Iran opened at Sazmanab in Tehran, August 19 through August 31. It continued in New York at cafes and restaurants that served food of these countries through November 2011. The opening event was streamed online from Tehran, for the first time live, expanding the audiences beyond borders and inviting everyone to join in.
